Made in Taiwan
2024
Dive into Taiwan.
The "Made in Taiwan" graphics leap off the screen, blending heritage, technology, and rebellion. Created in collaboration with Brigitte Kouo, the founder of Studio Kouo, these visuals showcase an iPhone wrapped in the intricate textiles of Taiwan's original Formosan people—a fusion of the ancient with the modern. Our glowing lanterns, laced with microchip patterns, ignite curiosity about Taiwan's cultural resilience. And the neon face tattoos? They’re an electrifying nod to Taipei’s bustling streets. This isn’t just art; it’s an invitation to explore Taiwan’s vibrant heart.

Rethink “Made in Taiwan.”
These graphics challenge the conventional narrative. The vibrant textiles, glowing circuits, and intricate tattoo art embody Taiwan's struggle for self-expression. Every pixel vibrates with the tension of an island finding its voice. Students are called to question, learn, and redefine what it means to be Taiwanese.
